Personal Milestones |
SETI.USA would like to thank ALL of it's dedicated members and offer CONGRATULATIONS to all those who achieved significant personal milestones in
June/July. As you all know, we are growing exponentially. We now have: 178 members with 1,000,000+
COMBINED |
Our User of The Day awards in July were up over Junes with a total of 43. Our best projects for the month were Cosmology and Seasonal with 5 each. We are currently at 623 total which keeps us solidly in the number 8 position. We made up some more ground on #7 ranked BOINC@Heidelberg who is now only 53 ahead of us. Congratulations also to our top members for the month: tyler o. with 5 UoTDs |

On January 4, 2008, SETI.USA member kevint started a MiniCity for our team. At that time we were the 6,528th largest MiniCity in the United States (not very big at all). Like with everything else this team does though, members flocked to help our city grow. Today we are proud to announce that we are the 17th largest MiniCity in the USA and still growing. For those of you who may have never visited our MiniCity, it is an online simulated city. It's growth is based on the number of unique IPs that visit each day. These visits control the growth of several factors such as population, industry, transportation, security, environment and business. We would like to encourage those members who have not participated in this to consider helping us push on up to be the #1 largest minicity in the USA. Here are the links that you need to help us with this project: To check what is needed visit this

SETI.USA encourages its members to participate in the
project of their choice. Now that we have accomplished the team’s original
goal of being #1 in SETI@home credit in ALL BOINC projects is valuable to
the team’s future success. |

June
Membership Growth -SargeD For the month of June we gained a total of 321 new members across all BOINC projects. Many of these new members joined multiple projects so the stats actually show a gain of 407 new members. The top gaining projects were: SETI - 191 new members NOTE: These figures are new members only and do not reflect the number of current members who have added new projects. |

Other Projects of interest -SargeD SETI.USA encourages it's members to crunch whatever project most interests them. However, there are a few projects that we run that do not interfere with our primary projects, yet help us to increase our overall numbers in BOINC. Two of these projects are Pirates@Home and Depspid. Depspid is a non-cpu intensive project that uses some of your bandwidth. Pirates@Home uses the CPU but the WUs are so short (usually less than a minute) that they never interfere with production on other projects. Work for these projects is very sporadic, so we encourage our members to connect and stay connected so that when work is released we can grab our share. Please consider connecting to these projects if you have not already. |

Team Standing and OS Support -Steve This chart has been revised to
incorporate DrBob's previous weekly project ranking format. More data
columns have also been added to track our team's total credit (T.C.) and
recent average credit (RAC) against the top teams in each for every project.
Total Formula BOINC credits earned by our team are also included now. It
also indicates which projects have native 64-bit apps for 64-bit OSes. |

SETI.USA - Project Stats Pages -SargeD We wanted this to be a unique stats site and to offer something different from the other stats sites out there and so we came up with a site that allows you to search for stats using one or multiple criteria. What you will see there is just a start and we will be adding to it as we progress. You can visit the site by clicking the above graphic. Feedback is welcomed so please provide any feedback that you may have in this topic on our message board! |
