Personal Milestones |
SETI.USA would like to thank ALL of it's dedicated members and offer CONGRATULATIONS to all those who achieved significant personal milestones in May/June. As you all know, we are growing exponentially. We now have: 172 members with 1,000,000+
COMBINED
|
We had a very light month for UoTDs in May with a total of only 36. Our best project for the month was Proteins with 5, not surprising considering our push for the number 1 spot there. We are currently at 592 total which keeps us solidly in the number 8 position. We made up some of the ground lost last month to #7 ranked BOINC@Heidelberg who is now only 59 ahead of us. Congratulations also to our top members for the month each of whom had 3 UoTDs: Blkjack-21, [SETI.USA]Tank_Master, zeitgeistmovie.com, Solarwinds

We were very successful in our push for number one at Proteins @Home and ended up 412,009 cobblestones ahead of L'Alliance Francophone. This was largely due to the outstanding response we got to our call for help to all of our members. Our sincerest thanks to all of those who participated. This just reinforces our belief that "all" members make a difference, whether they have 1 machine or a hundred. The only problem now is that we have learned that the project was not shut down for good as we thought it would be. They have announced the possibility of another round of work to be released sometime in September. We have from now until then to decide if we want to defend this #1 position or not. The unofficial consensus right now is that we will be there!

SETI.USA encourages its members to participate in the
project of their choice. Now that we have accomplished the team's original
goal of being #1 in SETI@home, credit in ALL BOINC projects is valuable to
the team's future success.

Other Projects of interest -SargeD SETI.USA encourages it's members to crunch whatever project most interests them. However, there are a few projects that we run that do not interfere with our primary projects, yet help us to increase our overall numbers in BOINC. Two of these projects are Pirates@Home and Depspid. Depspid is a non-cpu intensive project that uses some of your bandwidth. Pirates@Home uses the CPU but the WUs are so short (usually less than a minute) that they never interfere with production on other projects. Work for these projects is very sporadic, so we encourage our members to connect and stay connected so that when work is released we can grab our share. Please consider connecting to these projects if you have not already. NOTE: DepSpid has been having a lot of work lately. We have a chance to close the gap between us and BOINC Synergy if we can grab as much of this new work as possible. If you have computers that are not connected to DepSpid, please consider doing so.

Team Standing and OS Support -Steve This chart has been revised to
incorporate DrBob's previous weekly project ranking format. More data
columns have also been added to track our team's total credit (T.C.) and
recent average credit (RAC) against the top teams in each for every project.
Total Formula BOINC credits earned by our team are also included now. It
also indicates which projects have native 64-bit apps for 64-bit OSes.
