Supporting BOINC Distributed Computing Projects

Our Team's focus on the Milky Way has returned amazing results and we continue to have great success as Team & Individual Milkstones indicate. The MilkyWay Team Focus Project (TFP) started on 26 December 2009. On that date we were 64 million behind. One month later we had taken the lead and were ahead by over 18 million. By the end of February 2010, our lead in Project MilkyWay@Home was over 120 million.

Important Milk Moments:

During the Milk TFP we added 145 new Milk Team Members.

Project MilkyWay has passed SETI as the Team's Number One Project in Total Team Credit.

We added 723,435,402 Milk Stones and have a total of: 1,792,401,559 in Project MilkyWay@Home. (7 March 2010 BOINCStats)

The Team is on track to have 2 Billion Milk Stones within the next month.

Vigilant For Milky Way.  Our new Milk strategy is to be vigilant & watchful. The official unofficial Milk TFP will end on the Ides of March. Many team  members remain in the MilkyWay and we will be watchful for any threats. Our position as Masters of the Milky Way is secure and the Milk TFP is now in a new long term watch and protect phase. As we prepare for other challenges and move on to individual projects, and our long term Team Projects, I would like to express my thanks and my appreciation. I will continue to update the New Milk Members Thread, and do a weekly report on Milk in the Team Forum.

SETI.USA has accomplished some amazing milestones during the past 5-years and during this reporting period.

We are the World Number One Team in BOINC Combined!  We currently have over 5.6 Billion credits (5.67 Billion as of 5 March 2010).

During the past month, we passed 50 Million in Project FreeHAL@Home and are currently Number 2 in the World for FreeHAL.

MilkyWay@Home has become the Team's Number One BOINC Project, passing SETI@Home in total team credits.

The Team has also moved up from 4th place to 2nd place in PrimeGrid@Home, with an impressive victory in the Year of the Tiger Challenge. The Team passed L'Alliance Francophone and PrimeSearchTeam, two teams who have held those top positions for a long time. L'AF is now down to 4th place in PrimeGrid and PST is in 3rd place respectively. SETI.Germany is the 1st Place Team in the PrimeGrid BOINC Project. Team SETI.USA is on course to win the 2010 Prime Grid Challenge, and take first Place in PrimeGrid in 2010.
